ADMISSIONS STATEMENT

The institution admits students regardless of race, color, and national or ethnic origin, and grants all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to all other students at Philadelphia Baptist Evangelical Seminary, Further, Philadelphia Baptist Evangelical Seminary does not discriminate based on race, color, gender and national or ethnic origin, nor handicap in the administration of its educational and other policies, admissions, disciplinary actions, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Philadelphia Baptist Evangelical Seminary is designed primarily for the mature professional who has earned previous college credit and has significant professional experience. The Institute's students tend to be more mature, self-motivated individuals that have self-discipline to succeed in an individual study program. Younger students with few college credits are encouraged to enroll in a recognized on-campus program. It is expected that the successful applicant for admission will have attained an appropriate educational level and will have demonstrated professional competence (or such potential) at a level which would prepare him/her for the academic program for which they are applying.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

If you wish to apply to an
Philadelphia Baptist Evangelical Seminary degree program, please use the following checklist of procedures:

1. Request for Admission: Complete the Request for Evaluation form which accompanies the catalog or write to the Philadelphia Baptist Evangelical Seminary Admissions Office at the address shown below.

2. Photograph: Attach a recent photograph of yourself for identification purposes.

3. References: You must provide three references.

4. Résumé: Submit a formal, complete and professional résumé describing all career experiences and positions held. Include any formal or informal training in which you participated that was related to your professional activities

5. Transfer Credits: If you expect to transfer credits from other institutions of higher education, request a complete official transcript from each institution and have them send it directly to:

Notification: Upon receipt of the above information, the Admissions Office will notify you in writing of your standing. You are not officially enrolled until the signed financial agreement, signed student application, and list of preferred courses or research courses is returned along with the appropriate enrollment fees.
